The perfume industry is inherently high-end, and packaging determines whether a product is “worth the price.” That’s why Doyoupacks designed a complete set of premium packaging solutions for our clients in the perfume industry.

Our client is a niche DTC fragrance brand whose primary marketing channel is social media. They commissioned Doyoupacks to design and manufacture multi-piece gift sets. Doyoupacks positioned these Perfume Boxes as youthful, tailored to a niche fragrance brand, and design-driven—a departure from traditional, heavy gift boxes featuring luxurious black and gold accents.

Gradient Perfume Gift Boxes for Eye-Catching Branding

The core design highlight of these Perfume Gift Boxes is their gradient exterior. The Doyoupacks design team applied a large-scale gradient to the outer box, featuring a soft transition from green to peach-orange. This creates strong visual recognition, making the product particularly eye-catching on store shelves and social media. It easily attracts the young Gen Z demographic and evokes “scent associations,” as the colors resemble the diffusion of fragrance. Adopting a sophisticated design logic of “simple exterior, intricate interior,” the exterior

features a minimalist design (with almost no patterns), while the interior showcases a full-coverage, repeating logo pattern, creating a sense of surprise and enhancing the unboxing experience.

Specific Structural and Material Design

The inner tray design for Luxury Perfume Boxes combines functionality with visual appeal. The interior features a custom cardboard insert—a one-piece paper insert exclusively designed by Doyoupacks—made from 300–400 gsm white cardstock. It includes slotted cutouts to secure the perfume bottle while extending the logo pattern. The paper insert is more cost-effective than EVA and is better suited for these small-volume perfumes at comparable costs. Doyoupacks’ paper materials are FSC-certified, better meeting the environmental requirements of European and American brands. The exterior features grayboard laminated with specialty paper—1500 gsm grayboard laminated with 157 gsm coated paper. Based on the weight of the client’s perfume bottle, this is the most cost-effective and practical material solution we recommend for this Perfume Packages.

Technical Challenges Overcome by Doyoupacks

1. Gradient printing control: The gradients on these Perfume Subscription Boxes are prone to color discrepancies and banding, which places high demands on our factory’s printing control.

2. Precise lamination alignment: Both the interior and exterior of the box feature patterns. If the lamination is not properly aligned, it will result in visual misalignment, making the product appear cheap.

3. Precision of inner tray slotting: The inner box features multiple narrow slots, which demand high die-cutting precision; otherwise, the perfume bottle may sit too loosely or too tightly. If the bottle is not secured tightly, it may fall out during shipping, resulting in breakage.
