“A good fragrance box does more than just hold the product; it encapsulates the brand’s scent, mood, and texture.” The Folding Candle Packaging Boxes designed by Doyoupacks for this client are not merely a combination of materials, but rather an integrated design rooted in the brand’s overall aesthetic. We approached the design by considering structure, materials, and color simultaneously.

A Smarter Structure for Candle Packaging

For aromatherapy products, which are all about mood, ambiance, and lifestyle, the packaging must strike a balance between stability, protection, the unboxing experience, and brand identity. In this Boxes For Candles project, Doyoupacks designed a custom structure featuring an auto-lock bottom, tuck-top lid, and inner insert for the client. The base features an auto-lock bottom. Since the glass jars containing the candles are heavy, this auto-lock structure offers greater load-bearing capacity compared to standard insert bases, preventing the bottom from opening easily and facilitating both transportation and display. The tuck-top lid design adds a sense of ceremony to the unboxing experience. The unique feature of these Candle Boxes With Inserts lies in the addition of custom paper inserts. These inserts are specifically tailored to the dimensions and structure of the fragrance jars, ensuring a precise fit and secure hold to prevent shifting and breakage during transit. Made from biodegradable, FSC-certified paper, they combine functionality and sustainability with an overall sense of premium branding.

Paper Selection That Brings Out a “Natural Aesthetic”

For the paper, we selected Sunben White Kraft Paper. Its whiteness is softer and more natural, avoiding any industrial feel. The paper’s surface features a delicate fiber texture, making it ideal for fragrance products. This material reinforces the brand’s message of “natural healing and understated luxury,” ensuring that the Luxury Candle Boxes become an integral part of the brand experience.

Beige and Brown Spot Color Packaging Printing

As a packaging supplier, Doyoupacks excels in high-precision color printing and the consistent reproduction of brand colors, ensuring that brand spot colors remain consistent throughout mass production. For this project, we employed a combination of custom-mixed beige and custom-mixed brown. While these colors may appear understated and simple in packaging printing, they actually demand a high level of color control from the manufacturing facility. The challenge with brown lies in the precision of color mixing; even the slightest deviation can result in a noticeable shift in hue. For this Candle Packaging project, the difficulty with the beige lies in achieving the right balance of purity and sophistication—it must not appear dirty, grayish, or overly yellowed.

Double-Layer Lamination for Sturdy Fragrance Packaging

We utilize a double-layer laminated process with 250g and 250g white kraft paper. Compared to single-layer cardboard structures, this laminated process effectively enhances the overall rigidity and stiffness of the box, making it more resistant to compression. It is particularly suitable for fragrance products like scented candles that have a certain weight. Furthermore, these double-layer white kraft Cardboard Candle Boxes offer a more substantial feel and a richer visual texture.

Hot Stamping Consistency in Edge Details

In terms of post-press processes, Doyoupacks employs a continuous hot stamping technique along the edges of the box, creating a visually seamless linear border that enhances the overall elegance and sophistication of the packaging. However, this continuous hot stamping method demands extremely high precision and stability, particularly testing the technical control at the corners and transitions. This relies heavily on the operational experience and calibration skills of our packaging and printing plant technicians; only through precise die-cutting alignment and stable manual control of the stamping process can we achieve smooth transitions in the hot-stamped lines along the edges of the Candle Boxes.
